My personal approach

Professional, planned specifically for you, practical and feasible for every day.

Nutrition assessment

The initial consultation is designed to look at your lifestyle, health status and nutritional goals. Methods you’ve already tried are discussed along with what you want to achieve and your options for reaching these targets. The interview, together with the assessment of your nutritional status, represents the basis for an effective diet plan.

Time of planning and learning

A nutritional plan is designed on the basis of the agreed goals and assessment of your nutritional status. It comprises several measurable steps, showing the stages of your progress. The general recommendations are transformed into practical ideas and instructions, so that they can be included into your everyday routine. Changes should be introduced gradually.

Support on the way to success

Introducing changes that can be maintained in the long-term and giving up old habits is not a simple task. Therefore the regular follow-up sessions are of significant importance in terms of support. We accompany your progress, encourage you and adjust the plan, if necessary. Over time you will be equipped with the knowledge, tools and awareness to be able to independently take responsibility for your well-being, health and appearance. You will be able to make food choices, appropriate just for you.

Working methods

Nutrition assessment

1
Nutrition assessment

Nutrition assessment is the key component used in individual counselling. On the basis of a 3-day diet record and a diary of your physical activity, the adequacy of your current nutrient and energy intake can be checked; a meal schedule and other eating practices should be reviewed as well.

Body composition analysis

2
Body composition analysis

Body composition can be measured through the most widespread and professionally recognized method used today, the so-called bio-impedance analysis. Using this method, weak electric current passes through the body and, based on the electric conductivity of tissue, your body composition (total body water, lean and fat mass), can be evaluated.

The measured and calculated values are compared to the recommended values according to age, gender, weight and height for an individual.

Hydration assessment

Hydration assessment

For assessing hydration status, relative urine density is measured.

Nutritional planning

Nutritional planning

Based on the assessment of your nutritional status, energy and nutritional intake as well as your physical activity, we design a suitable nutritional plan according to your needs, capacities, wishes and goals. You learn how to implement this plan, while receiving our thorough support.

Further support

At follow-up sessions we keep track of your nutritional modifications; the plan can be adapted, if needed. The bio-impedance method enables us to determine any alteration in your body composition, as a result of nutritional changes and physical activities you are engaged in.
